Not Good News!

Dear Darrell Miller Family and Friends,

It seems each day offers a complete change in Darrell’s health status.

Once again we have very guarded predictions of the outcome. Darrell returned to the Tucson Medical Center’s ICU last evening. Both his kidney and intestine functions are compromised.

His eyes have the look of fatigue as the ventilator provides respiratory assistance. We can sense his love as he focuses in on our faces; and we can no longer hide the tears. Darrell too, has tear drops.

I wish our friend peace…. he has been battling so long. Bob is sensing how grave it is and he states “what am I going to do without him?”

Please hold both the guys in your prayers. Diane

  1. Janell says:

Thanks again for the updates which we all open with hope and fear each day. It shouldn’t be so hard for such a fine man that we all love so much. I find myself angry that he is having to suffer so much. It’s a generic and unfocused anger.
My hopes and prayers are with you all and I wish comfort to Darrell and to Bob.

  2. Jane says:

Each of you there in Arizona caring so presently and so
lovingly with Darrell and with Bob are sent the deepest
thanks for all you do. Thank you for conveying to them
the love and concern felt by those of us so far away.
To both Darrell and Bob, I send my love and thanks for
all that you have given to so many for so long.

I wish you peace and comfort.

  3. Laurene says:

Thanks so much for all of the updates. Diane is so right – life is so very fragile. Darrell is all about loving and giving. It is no wonder we all have such wonderful thoughts of him and hope and pray he will get better. Darrell has truly touched my life and I will always love him.
My prayers are for Darrell and Bob. We should all be so fortunate to have friends like Darrell and Bob have. The loving care all of you give them truly touches my heart.

  4. The Kearnes Family says:

Our loving energies are sent to Bob and Darrell, always. We are so thankful to their family of friends in Arizona, for keeping the communication constant and accurate. As Bob and Darrell’s family of friends, let’s each take a moment to celebrate our friends, and their lives, and the … oh, so special …. memories we share with them.

Please let Bob and Darrell know how much they are loved,

    Bruce, Wendy, Matt and Ali

  5. Barbara & Neil Hurlbut says:

Neil and I just returned from an out-of-town trip and are so shocked and saddened at what Darrell, Bob, Marlene, Don and all the many others who love them continue to experience. It seems like a nightmare and I am angry that one who is so loving and giving has to continue to endure all of this. Neil and I have years of happy memories of our times with Darrell and Bob, as did my mother who just died two months ago. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Barbara and Neil

  6. Bliss says:

Each day gets harder to say what I am thinking and feeling. Today, Bill and I went to Middleton on errands and parked by Pasta Jax. We have spent many arvelous evenings there with Darrell and Bob, with the original owners and with the new owners, both whom I am sure who felt that Bob and Darrell were probably their favourite customers. We will find it difficult to go in there without “the boys”.
Rosanne called me today to just talk. She and I (Bliss) are finding this time very difficult. We both have a very special bond with both Bob and Darrell and are feeling pretty helpless being so far away for them. All we can do is keep thinking positive thoughts and to let folk know in Tucson that we are doing our best here to help in whateven way.
Our continued love to Bob and Darrell
